privbind software package provides Allow unprivileged apps to bind to a privileged port, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install privbind
privbind is installed in your system.
Make ensure the privbind package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep privbind *
You will get with privbind package name, version, architecture and description in a table
